Sesame Street, Shopping, New Tricks, & Another Month Already!

Last Saturday, mom and I took Aubrie and Emma to see Sesame Street Live at the Nokia Theater in Grand Prairie. We had excellent seats and the girls enjoyed it immensely!
This pic is blurry - go figure! And Aubrie isn't looking - SURPRISE! Still a sweet one of my girls and me.
Can you see her excitement?!

We had to have an $8 flag! Oh, and $12 binoculars that don't even work right! Mimi is such a sucker! I guess that was better than the $10 mylar Elmo balloon (that you can also buy at Wal-mart for like $2 - CRAZY!) and the $18 very plain Elmo tshirt! They make a killin' for sure!
She didn't move from this position the whole hour & a half except to lean over and tell me she wanted a snack - so there again mommy spent $10 for a coke and a cookie! Okay, so I'm a sucker too! =) These girls are sooo worth every dime!
Emma was even fascinated! I know that is AWFUL of me in the background, but YOU try holding a baby with the camera out in front of her - in the dark no less!

After the show, we decided to take advantage of the shopping in the area. We ended up at the Dillard's at Town East. We were looking for the girls' Easter dresses. This is Emma in the best of moods while we shopped and shopped! She had like 3 catnaps the whole day that each lasted about 10 minutes and was still this happy!
Aubrie thought Emma needed to try on hats too!
Then it was naptime for Aubrie under the hat display. She was exhausted!

Emma is now sitting up for extended periods of time. Here she is with her favorite toy - a musical octopus. She LOVES it!
"Mom, I saw that camera! I know what you are up to!" (She looks identical to her daddy's baby pictures here.)
I made Mimi take a pic of us - I am always the one taking the pics and seldom ever get one taken WITH her!

NOW ON TO THE BIG NEWS! - Well, not really big, but most important! I have NO idea why this text is underlined - I could not get it right!

Emma Ryan is already 6 months old today! I cannot believe it! Time has FLOWN and will continue to do so I know! The fact that they grow and change so fast is so bittersweet! You want them to get to the next stage in life and it is so fun to watch them go through new experiences , but at the same time I am freakin' out at how quickly they change and it makes me sooo sad to think that they will be grown in the blink of an eye! At six months, she seems to be right on target in her development. She is rolling everywhere and when she discovers that she is on her tummy, she will start to scoot (a little) and reach for a toy in front of her. She is sitting up for a long time without assistance, talks constantly in her "special language" (this is what big sister Aubrie calls her jabber), and is trying soooo hard to cut those 2 first bottom teeth! I love this age! Too much fun!
See how excited she is about her big day! It looks like she is saying:
"WooHoo! I'm such a big girl!"
I love the way she looks when she first wakes up from a nap - I snapped this right when I came in to get her out of her crib.

Okay - this is so funny to me! I was trying once again to get a good shot at the 3 of them. Well, Emma had just spit up a little on her shirt and when Aubrie climbed up there and saw it, she started gagging - I caught her mid-gag as you can see! She has a HUGE gag reflux and anytime Emma spits up or is even taking a bottle and Aubrie thinks about it - this is what she does.
Emma adores her big sisters! I think the way they are looking at each other could not be more precious! Oh, sweet sisters! I am so excited that they will all 3 have each other throughout life - something I always wished for (I do love my brother though in case he reads this!)
This was Emma's first ride on the rocking elephant that Mimi and Poppy gave her for Christmas.

These next few are my attempts to get a good picture in her "6 months" tshirt that I borrowed from our friend Roselyn. Don't you just want to sqeeze those cheeks right off her face!
Love the expression!
Big smile!

Okay, on to a more serious note! I actually debated back and forth about whether or not to blog about this, but decided that the more prayers that go up, the better. She went for her 6 month checkup and shots yesterday. As I had posted a couple of months back - Dr. Scott has been concerned about the growth of her head. We went to Children's in Dallas for a CT and everything was normal - just a big head. Well, he measured again yesterday and her head had grown another 1.5 cm in the last 2 months, so he is referring us to a neurosurgeon in Dallas for a second opinion. Michael & I have a good feeling about everything. We honestly think that she just has a big head and that if there was something wrong, it would've shown up on the scan, but Dr. Scott said that the hydrocephalus could develop at anytime. She is developing so well in all other areas, so we aren't super concerned, but want to definitely get a specialist view on things. Please pray that our little girl is okay! God bless all of you!

Many, Many Pics of Various Things!

Here is Aubrie at her Kiddie Kollege Vday party. She would not look at the camera much b/c she was too busy eating her cupcake!
Momma loves her little girl!
This was the best pic I could take of Miss Emma in her Vday outfit! She wasn't in the mood for a photo shoot at all!
Aubrie at school in her Vday outfit that her Mimi spent all day Saturday making. She said, "Mom, do you like my Valentine outfit? My Mimi made it ALL by herself!" She was so proud!
Here she is with her buddy Gibson - who couldn't worry with getting his pic made b/c he couldn't get his lunchbox off from around his neck. They have been in Kiddie Kollege together for 2 years. They were born just 3 weeks apart.

Last Saturday we played outside for awhile and the girls got their playhouse. I LOVE this one of Aubrie.
Kaitlyn looks like she is having quite the phone conversation, but actually that is a pretend
phone - such an imagination.
Emma and I came inside b/c we were both coughing and Emma modeled her new shades.

But she was having such fun outside jumping in her Jumperoo and laughing at her 2 big sisters!
Aubrie has officially grown out of the baby swing and is moving up to the big girl swing.
Love Emma's face in this one!

This is an outfit that belonged to Kaitlyn and I can't BELIEVE that it already fits Aubrie. She wore it to church on Sunday. My wonderful husband took both the girls to church so that I could rest since I was sick on Sunday. Not many daddy's would attempt that with a 2 year old and
5 month old

And this was Emma's attire.

A couple of Wednesday nights ago, we went to Braum's with our friends Amy & Doug. This is Amy's niece Chloe with Kaitlyn. So cute!
And here is Emma with their son and her boyfriend Ridge. These two are going to have many fun times together.
Aubrie is wearing pullups just at night now, but for some reason she decided to try them out on her head this night.

This isn't the greatest picture of Emma, but I had to show off the boots - given to us by Aunt Gina, Uncle Mark, Lexie, & Langdon. They crack me up with the jeans!

Funny story - tonight Aubrie told me that she was getting married. I said "You are! Who are you going to marry?" She said, "I think Daniel, but first I need to ask him what he is going to be when he grows up!" Smart girl!

Here is Emma with my parents' dog Beaux - she loves him!
Well, most of the time!
And here is Aubrie modeling Mimi's slippers.

Here we are playing in Mimi's backyard - and Mimi getting some of those good sugars!
Love Emma's expression here - she just looks like she is going to come right out and tell us something!
Impossible to get them both looking most of the time.

Playing in the dead leaves.
Okay, mom enough is enough.
I could just eat her up!

Emma is sitting in the seats in Sunday school now. Here she is with her teacher Mrs. Donna and a couple of her friends from class. She looks so big.
Reading her Bible!
Eating the Bible!

A few weeks ago on a Saturday, Michael was working and the girls & I were feeling like we needed to get out of the house. So, we decided to go to lunch at Burger King so the girls could play. Emma was so good and just sat in her stroller most of the time we were there.
And chewed and drooled a little too. She is trying so hard to cut those bottom teeth.
I wasn't about to take this adventure without some help, so we called Mimi & Poppy to come and play too!

Aubrie posing at the bottom of the slide.

Okay, I think we have another teacher on our hands! Aubrie LOVES to play school - she makes Kaitlyn be her student. Here she is using her baton as a pointer and drinking her "coffee" as she calls it. She cracks me up!
This is one of the toys that Santa brought that actually isn't a hand-me-down from Aubrie.
Hmmmm....

We went to the Barnett's to watch the Superbowl and Aubrie and Grayson had to shoot some hoops before the game started.
Emma & Misty
Emma is very close to sitting up on her own. Here she is with Langdon.

Towards the end of the game, Aubrie started getting tired, so she laid down in the floor and used their area rug for a blanket. =)
Emma thinks Aubrie is hilarious and just like her mommy, Aubrie loves to entertain!
Worn out on the way home!
