End of the Year School Programs & Other Randomness...

My Aubrie completed her first year of school in PreK. I was very hesitant to start her in public school when she really didn't have to go, but it was the best thing I could've done for her! She had a rough first 3 wks, but after that she loved it and made such sweet friends. This was at the the "Moving Up to Kindergarten" ceremony. The little program that they did was absolutely precious, but my camera went dead right in the middle of it and the few that I DID get were blurry! I was very upset! But here are the few I was able to get that weren't all messed up! Aubrie & Daddy

Letting their balloons go to represent "moving up"The next week was their end of the year festival! So much fun! I am so blessed to have a principal that allows me to be gone for awhile when the kids have something like this!

I don't want to miss a thing!

Aubrie is in to taking pics, especially ones of herself!

This cracks me up! There was a whole series of these, but this one was the funniest!Aubrie & her friend drawing with sidewalk chalkEmma had her end of year Kiddie Kollege program and once again, my camera wasn't cooperating! I really think it is going out b/c I've used it so much! Sooo...here are just a couple from that night....again, very disappointing!Aubrie & Poppy in the audienceI seem to still be able to get decent shots outside. We usually go to Club Kerby to swim, but the kids enjoy their little kiddie pool that daddy got them for "in between" times.

This is Ridge! He and Emma are about 2 months apart and are bigtime buds! There were in Kiddie Kollege together this year and had so much fun! She prays for her friend Ridge every night. He and his parents were over the other night and this is how we found them in her room! It's cute now, but we'll have to be watching them in a few years! ;)Just a funny pic of the McCarter girls on family movie night!
Both of our girls LOVE fruit and this was the first watermelon of the season! I wasn't kidding when I said "other randomness" in the this post title....

Hope everyone is making sweet memories this summer! We sure are!

Mother's Day & Promotion Sunday

Our church always promotes the kids' at the beginning of the summer and it was kinda hard to swallow this year due to the fact that Aubrie is now in the Kinder & 1st grade class!!! That just seems sooo big! She had the most amazing 4 yr. old teacher that stayed with them for the whole year, so that is why she is looking kinda sad! But she is loving her new class now! Emma moved up to the 3 yr. old class! My babies aren't babies anymore! Aubrie & Kate...together since birth (just a month apart).
I'm late on posting Mother's Day pics. I'm just behind period with this blog!
Me with the love of my life!

God bless the man that will proudly wear girly things on his head!
But really, does he have a choice?

she definitely made up for it with this pic! I don't even know who took this pic....prolly Aubrie, but I found it when I was uploading pics and I love it!

Spring Fling @ the Woodall's

I am so behind on posting! Sorry! In April, we had our annual church Spring Fling at the Woodall Ranch! Here are Emma and her buddy Addison playing on the porch. I wish Emma were looking, but she had a different agenda. Lots of horse riding!
Michael with Kaitlyn & Laney
They even got this ol' gal on a horse and everyone got a kick out of Michael leading the horse instead of me doing it myself. What can I say? I couldn't be more of a city girl!
Michael and Emma

Kaitlyn & Grayson
We also enjoyed a fun hayride! Aubrie & her friend since birth, Gibson...
Tyler and his mommy Tammy
Ridge & his mommy Amy
Daddy & Emma Mommy & her girls...who will NEVER look at the camera!
Emma had the most fun running up and down the ramp outside the Woodall's house!
One of my new fav pics of Emma...so cute that it made the blog header! Hope you like it!

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful children's program at our church and people like the Woodall's to open their home to us for such fun things! Thanks to Louie & Marilyn!

Soccer 2010

We've been done with soccer for about a month now, but I'm just getting around to blogging about it! Kaitlyn took this pic of my little soccer girl and me (that's why my head is cut off...but I still like it!!). So proud of you little girl!
All the Wiggles after getting their trophies!

"GO, WIGGLES!!"....this was the team "circling up" that they after every game and practice!
Group pic with the awesome "Coach Wayne"
Thank you, Wayne, for being such a wonderful and patient coach for the past year!

I love this pic of Aubrie following right behind Coach! She really looks up to him!Keep your eyes on the ball!Just a random action shot!

Okay, so this is Aubrie's 2nd season of soccer and she informed me that I better not sign her up again! I really don't think I will push it either when fall comes around! I want to encourage my kids to "try" different activities and if it just isn't their thing (which soccer definitely isn't Aubrie's!!), then I am perfectly fine with that! I will blog about t-ball soon. I think she will want to play that again, but not soccer! This is a relief actually since she and Kaitlyn both are both playing 2 sports a piece and I am more than ready for them all to come to a close!!! We are going to enroll her in Paris Community Theater classes...I think she's going to be more "artsy" like her momma and that thrills me to no end! Although our soccer phase is probably over (unless something drastic changes), we will miss our Wiggle friends and soccer moms and dads!

First of many "ends of an era!!!"

Mommy & Daddy are so proud of you, Aubrie!!! Thanks for sticking to it and not letting your teammates down, even though you really wanted to quit sometimes!

I love you more than anything in this world!

Dancing with the Stars

I am a member of the Leadership Lamar County Class of 2010. Each year the class adopts a projects for their class members to raise money for. This year, our class chose to raise money to repair the Bywater's Park Peristyle that is falling down! Bywater's Park is known for hosting Winter Wonderland, Paris Municipal Band concerts, Movies in the Park, as well as numerous weddings and other community events. Our main fundraiser this year is hosting Paris' own version of "Dancing with the Stars" (stars being some of our well known community members). Its going to be an awesome event and I wanted my blog readers to know all about it! I apologize for the poor quality of the copied flyer below! Hopefully those that are interested will be able to read it! You can email me to purchase tickets: ldmccarter@hotmail.comThanks so much for your support!
