Just Girl Stuff....

Emma has discovered books - well I mean she's been read to all along, but now she likes to pick one and pretend to read in her jabber language. I bet I pick these books up and put them in this tub atleast 3-4 times a day! I hope that all my girls learn to love reading like I do!

"Time for bed already?"
Aubrie had already given it up on the couch watching Dora.
We were getting ready to go swimming one day last week and I dropped the sunscreen back behind the dryer. I was sooo glad that Kaitlyn was just the right size and volunteered to climb back there and get it!
She found the bottoms to one of Aubrie's swimsuits along with a few other items I'd been looking for! Thanks, K!!!
After a long afternoon at the pool, it was bathtime for all 3 sisters! This doesn't happen very often since they are getting so big and Kaitlyn usually takes showers now, so I thought I'd better get a pic of it while I can. I love the way the 2 older sisters are looking at baby sister so adoringly! She won't be spoiled at all!!!
All dressed and ready for church Wednesday night.

All last week Kaitlyn participated at a camp at First Baptist Church called S.M.A.K. (Summer Music Activities for Kids). She had a ball. They learned a little musical called "Splash Kingdom" in just a few days complete with choreography! It was quite a lot to learn in just 5 days. They did an awesome job!

Kaitlyn is on the front row 2nd person.
Don't know who these kids are, but they did a great job!
Aubrie enjoyed watching it and can't wait to be big enough to do it too!
Emma lasted ALMOST to the end. Her beads kept her entertained!
Poppy and Emma waiting in the lobby after the program was over.
Aubrie didn't want to be left out of the pic, but didn't want to look at the camera. Hope we are not going back to our old ways!!!
Kaitlyn with Nanny & Papa outside after the show.
The proud little sister - can't you tell??
Saturday was Michael's day off and I had a little stomach bug or something. He was wonderful and took over care of the girls and let me sleep for like 4 hrs. Took them to Wal-mart and everything! Don't know many dads that would attempt this, especially on a Sat.!!! But he's just wonderful like that! Thanks, baby! You're the best! He got some toys that were Aubrie's out of the garage and cleaned them up for Emma to play with. Emma thought it was Christmas and Aubrie enjoyed playing with them too!
I found Aubrie like this Sat. afternoon. She just looks so big and grown up here!
Emma having her afternoon snack!
Up close and personal!
That afternoon we went to a friend of ours bday party. Little Ethan turned 3!!! Happy Birthday big boy! His mommy and I met while we were pregnant with Aubrie and Ethan and now we live just a block apart! It has been so much fun watching our little ones grow up together!
This is Aubrie and Ethan with their other friend Cadie. I went to highschool with her mommy Carol Kay. All 3 kiddos were born within 2 months of each other.
Aubrie wanted to take a picture of me taking a picture of her!
Emma hangin' with the big kids!
Okay, flashback time again! I was so wrong the last time about the girls not looking alike. I can barely tell them apart here!
Aubrie at 11 months - taken May of 2006.
Emma at 11 mo. - taken August 2008.
Kaitlyn and Aubrie - May 2006
Aubrie & Emma - same dresses - just 2 years later! CRAZY!
"HELP!"
While Emma napped yesterday, Aubrie helped me fold towels! She actually did a great job folding the rags!
BEFORE
and AFTER - so proud!
Okay, the next pic is too funny! I was in the shower and Michael was in the living room engrossed in a movie. Each of us thought the other one was watching Aubrie! I got out of the shower and took my time drying my hair and getting dressed for church. When I walked out of my room and into Emma's room (who was so nicely playing on the floor with her books) I couldn't see Aubrie yet. When I walked in the room I found Aubrie in the recliner in Emma's room with my make-up bag open and a face only a mother could love!!!
I gasped, busted up laughing, and called for Michael to come and look at his daughter! We both doubled over laughing, grabbed the camera, and warned our precious princess that if she got into mommy's make-up again she would get a spanking! Think she believed us???
I'll leave you with a of video. I've never been able to get them to upload on blogger before. This is my friend Amy's daughter singing a solo at S.M.A.K. She did an AWESOME job! We are proud of you Miss Sarah!! You can read her mom's blog by clicking here.
