Sesame Street, Shopping, New Tricks, & Another Month Already!

Last Saturday, mom and I took Aubrie and Emma to see Sesame Street Live at the Nokia Theater in Grand Prairie. We had excellent seats and the girls enjoyed it immensely!
This pic is blurry - go figure! And Aubrie isn't looking - SURPRISE! Still a sweet one of my girls and me.
Can you see her excitement?!

We had to have an $8 flag! Oh, and $12 binoculars that don't even work right! Mimi is such a sucker! I guess that was better than the $10 mylar Elmo balloon (that you can also buy at Wal-mart for like $2 - CRAZY!) and the $18 very plain Elmo tshirt! They make a killin' for sure!
She didn't move from this position the whole hour & a half except to lean over and tell me she wanted a snack - so there again mommy spent $10 for a coke and a cookie! Okay, so I'm a sucker too! =) These girls are sooo worth every dime!
Emma was even fascinated! I know that is AWFUL of me in the background, but YOU try holding a baby with the camera out in front of her - in the dark no less!

After the show, we decided to take advantage of the shopping in the area. We ended up at the Dillard's at Town East. We were looking for the girls' Easter dresses. This is Emma in the best of moods while we shopped and shopped! She had like 3 catnaps the whole day that each lasted about 10 minutes and was still this happy!
Aubrie thought Emma needed to try on hats too!
Then it was naptime for Aubrie under the hat display. She was exhausted!

Emma is now sitting up for extended periods of time. Here she is with her favorite toy - a musical octopus. She LOVES it!
"Mom, I saw that camera! I know what you are up to!" (She looks identical to her daddy's baby pictures here.)
I made Mimi take a pic of us - I am always the one taking the pics and seldom ever get one taken WITH her!

NOW ON TO THE BIG NEWS! - Well, not really big, but most important! I have NO idea why this text is underlined - I could not get it right!

Emma Ryan is already 6 months old today! I cannot believe it! Time has FLOWN and will continue to do so I know! The fact that they grow and change so fast is so bittersweet! You want them to get to the next stage in life and it is so fun to watch them go through new experiences , but at the same time I am freakin' out at how quickly they change and it makes me sooo sad to think that they will be grown in the blink of an eye! At six months, she seems to be right on target in her development. She is rolling everywhere and when she discovers that she is on her tummy, she will start to scoot (a little) and reach for a toy in front of her. She is sitting up for a long time without assistance, talks constantly in her "special language" (this is what big sister Aubrie calls her jabber), and is trying soooo hard to cut those 2 first bottom teeth! I love this age! Too much fun!
See how excited she is about her big day! It looks like she is saying:
"WooHoo! I'm such a big girl!"
I love the way she looks when she first wakes up from a nap - I snapped this right when I came in to get her out of her crib.

Okay - this is so funny to me! I was trying once again to get a good shot at the 3 of them. Well, Emma had just spit up a little on her shirt and when Aubrie climbed up there and saw it, she started gagging - I caught her mid-gag as you can see! She has a HUGE gag reflux and anytime Emma spits up or is even taking a bottle and Aubrie thinks about it - this is what she does.
Emma adores her big sisters! I think the way they are looking at each other could not be more precious! Oh, sweet sisters! I am so excited that they will all 3 have each other throughout life - something I always wished for (I do love my brother though in case he reads this!)
This was Emma's first ride on the rocking elephant that Mimi and Poppy gave her for Christmas.

These next few are my attempts to get a good picture in her "6 months" tshirt that I borrowed from our friend Roselyn. Don't you just want to sqeeze those cheeks right off her face!
Love the expression!
Big smile!

Okay, on to a more serious note! I actually debated back and forth about whether or not to blog about this, but decided that the more prayers that go up, the better. She went for her 6 month checkup and shots yesterday. As I had posted a couple of months back - Dr. Scott has been concerned about the growth of her head. We went to Children's in Dallas for a CT and everything was normal - just a big head. Well, he measured again yesterday and her head had grown another 1.5 cm in the last 2 months, so he is referring us to a neurosurgeon in Dallas for a second opinion. Michael & I have a good feeling about everything. We honestly think that she just has a big head and that if there was something wrong, it would've shown up on the scan, but Dr. Scott said that the hydrocephalus could develop at anytime. She is developing so well in all other areas, so we aren't super concerned, but want to definitely get a specialist view on things. Please pray that our little girl is okay! God bless all of you!
